Who I Am
My favorite people call me Habilis (if you want to be boring you can call me Steven). I’ve dabbled in many different professions and hobbies, but photography has always allowed me to explore and reflect on the world in a uniquely satisfying way.
I want to work with cool people, make good art, and help uplift the voices of the communities I believe in.

What I Do
I take pictures of people doing things they’re passionate about.
It’s easy enough for an artist to photography their finished work, but much more difficult to capture the moments when they’re genuinely focused on creating their craft — the sculptor shaping their work, the musician absorbed in their melody, the tradesperson operating their tools in the settings they work in every day. I always love getting a sneak-peek of the creative process and so will your audience. It invites the viewer into your world and relates to their humanity.
I’ve studied and have experience in various photographic techniques and styles. I specialize in candid portraits with an affinity for behind-the-scenes moments. Audiences are used to seeing photos of the polished end product of whatever your craft is, which is why I like to explore the moments during the creative process.
